Hi!!
I am a nursing student enrolled in the bridging to BScN program at UOIT, in Oshawa, Ontario. Currently I am a registered practical nurse working two jobs, attending school full-time and a mother.
Unfortunately my negative thoughts about creating a blog greatly outweigh my positive opinions. Many of us have busy lives, so reluctantly I add “creating a blog” to my list of priorities.
Although I quite often use the internet to research nursing topics I have never considered looking at blogs. Google is quicker and leaves out unwanted personal information.
On a positive note my son thinks it’s neat that his mom knows how to create a blog. Who knows, maybe in the future I will be more receptive of technological uses.

I can understand your reluctance to create a blog as I myself would not be receptive to such an assignment. Most people in today's post-secondary system are computer literate and it seems unnecessary to have someone make a blog just for the purpose of school, especially when you are not looking for a computer sciences degree. I am not a blogger but I do occassionally read blogs when my friends have requested that I do so. I have yet to see something profound. I will say that I support the ability to blog as it is another avenue for freedom of speach, one that is being threatened by materialism, specifically the phone companies.
